Thanks to Navistar, the MaxxForce 9 and 10 engines have SCR.
By equipping its MaxxForce 9 and MaxxForce 10 engines with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment, according to Navistar, it will complete the conversion of its mid-range engines to SCR.
The company previously sold the International DuraStar with the Cummins ISB 6.7 engine. The MaxxForce 9 and 10 can fit in vehicles with DuraStar and WorkStar engines.
According to Bill Kozek, President of North America Truck and Parts at Navistar, "We have great expectations for this chassis/engine combination as we watch the construction sector continue to recover." "Our medium-duty shift to SCR was successful with our DuraStar with Cummins ISB6.7."
Because we are aware that some of our customers require greater horsepower and torque, we are pleased to provide these customers with an alternative engine option by incorporating SCR into our 9-liter and 10-liter engines.
A terrific vehicle to watch out for is the International TerraStar with an Allison Optimized 1000 Series transmission with an extra sixth speed. The sixth gear will improve fuel economy and reduce engine noise, claims Navistar.
The enhanced front suspension of the TerraStar, which incorporates a front spring and bumper, is said by the manufacturer to offer a smoother ride over challenging terrain.
